Notice to All Firearms Owners

As of January 1, 2001
You will NOT be able to:

Own a Firearm
Carry a Firearm
Borrow a Firearm
Purchase Ammunition
Obtain an Authorization to Transport

Unless you have a Firearms Possession Licence. 

You will need to acquire a Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence (FPAL) if you intend to acquire firearms other than the ones you already own. You must have a Firearms Possession and Acquisition licence (FPAL), or a Firearms Possession Only Licence (FPOL) to own or borrow a firearm, or to purchase ammunition. You must have passed the Firearms Safety Test to get an Acquisition Licence.
