Welcome to the Colby Shooting Club!

The Colby Shooting Club comprises the range portions of the Shooter's Choice complex. We have a very active club membership in both archery and handgun shooting.

On the ground floor, we have a modern indoor handgun range facility. The gun range is 20 meters long and has 8 shooting stations. It is equipped with automatic returning targets, and will safely handle all calibres and bullet types for handguns, as well as rifle bullets and shotguns. Air quality is handled by a state-of-the-art air handler that filters the air at such a volume that even black powder firearms may be shot indoors. There is an exterior viewing area so that non-shooters can peak in and watch the fun.
    Current programs underway in the firearms range are Tuesday night IDPA practice, Wednesday night IPSC practice, and the well-attended Junior Rifle Club on Thursday nights. As well, regular IDPA matches are held here throughout the winter.

Upstairs, we have a full archery range for your target shooting needs, plus the lounge area and classroom. The archery range is usually shot at 20 yards, but can be stretched to 30 yards during quiet times. It has room for up to 8 archers at a time to practice. There is a lounge area for sitting and talking, and a children's play area with TV and video to occupy the children while the parents are shooting.
    Archery league nights run all winter long on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and are very well attended. Archery courses are also taught on different nights.

The classroom facilities are used for various courses and testing, seminars, and also as a party room in conjunction with different range activities.  

Full members enjoy all the facilities of the club, with 24 hour access to the ranges via controlled access keys.
